Many years ago in times of The Revolution in Mexico, the economic situation was not equal as today. The rich people had lot of money and the poor people worked for many hours and they got just a little money. For this situation, the rich people did not feel sure to keep their money in your house. The banks did not exited in these years and they used to hide their values bureau the land, under floor or in the wall. They put their money and jewelry in a bags or boxes. Next, they put inside the hole their treasures. However, the most of the times, the rich people was killed.
The story is about the buried treasure. One day a farmer called Juan Perez proposed him to search a treasure which could become him a rich man. After his work time he searched every day for a year. Juan dug so deep in many places, but he never found anything.
One day, his best friend Julian told him why he did not ask a “medium”, and he asked what it was? Julian explained that the “mediums” were people who can communicate with dead people. In the beginning Juan was afraid, he told himself (one thing is to want the treasure the dead people and another one was bothered people in the other world), so to bother people in the other world for him was a big sin.
He was thinking about this for several days. One morning, he had a conclusion, he had much respect for dead, but his ambition was greater than his fear. Finally he preferred to be rich that poor man. When he will found the treasure, he would confess with God for his forgiveness.
Juan contacted to Julian to tell him as he could talk with a "Medium." Julian introduced to Dona Catalina Bermudez and Juan explained her motive for wanting to contact someone from the beyond. Juan would explain what the Treasure, and they would do a meeting for the next day at 11:00 p.m. they will talk to someone from the beyond. This nigh they were gathered Dona Catalina, Julian and John, and she was concentrating to communicate with the beyond, but the medium try over and over ,until she said, she could not concentrate because there was someone who was not focused on what they were doing. They searched and found to the daughter’ Juan under the bed. She was very curious about what happening inside the room. He had to leave the girl to they could work. The Medium gave John indications of where and what time he had to be in a place she had indicated. The big day came, it was a place very far from his home and quite alone and without light, only the clarity that gives the moon. The only condition is that 20 meters of where the Treasure going to find anyone else should not have that. Julian and Angelita her daughter and his wife went with him, but them starting 20 meters away from him. Juan began to dig and dig until they hit something that seemed a metal box, so he was so excited, and then he began to dig with their hands. However, something worst happen that he was so afraid when he had tried to get the box, he felt a cold hand that grabbed her hand and terrible voice to a grave that said, “here is the place is not there”. At that moment Juan gave a cry of terror that his family just shocked to hear. After that he ran too fast until he arrived to the church, he begged the praise for the forgiveness of god.
Juan had been learning very well his lesson, and he promise himself that he never in his life would bother to dead, for any gold of the world.
